What are the differences between INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, and EXHIBITOR registration? \\

The Individual registration option is best for the individual attendee ages 18+. This track is the shortest and easiest. If you are registering as a minor or as a chaperon you will NOT be allowed to proceed to payment with an individual registration. Chaperons and minors MUST register together in a group registration. To do this see instructions under Group Registration below.

The Group registration option is designed for attendees who wish to register two or more persons together. Minors and chaperones are required to register in a group. Group registration is beneficial for groups of 10+ people registering together due to GYC’s group discount. When you use this option, all registration must be of the same type. Please note that children between the ages of 0-6 do not count towards the free registration. You must pay for the entire group at the time and on the same card and once the group has been payed for you will NOT be able to add to it.

The Group Registration discounts this year are:
For groups of 10 paying attendees, the group will receive 1 additional free registration and meals.
For groups of 20 paying attendees, the group will receive 2 additional free registrations and meals.
For groups of 30 paying attendees, the group will receive 4 additional free registrations and meals.

*Note: If you are registering for the full conference your additional free registrations will be full conference registrations (the same for weekend registration). To create a group please click the “Create a  Group” on the Verify page. Please be sure that the first person you enter into your group is NOT a minor. The Exhibitor registration option is for those wishing to have an exhibit at this years GYC conference. You must wait to register for GYC until AFTER your exhibit application has been approved. Once you receive an approval email you will be provided with a link to register as an exhibitor. The cost of the booth does NOT include the cost for GYC registration. What do I need to know before I register? \\

Meals

GYC only provides breakfast and lunch. Attendees should arrange to provide their own supper regardless of the meal package they select. Three meal packages are available:

1. Full Package: 7 meals (Sabbath breakfast through Tuesday breakfast)
2. Weekend Package: 4 meals (Sabbath breakfast through– Sunday lunch)
3. Individual Meals allow you to pick and choose which meals you would like.

 

Fees

Registration fees are calculated based on registration options chosen. Refer to the table below to determine your registration total. All registrations before October 8th will receive a $20 early-bird discount, and registrations after November 12th will be charged a surcharge of $40 for full conference registration or $30 for weekend registration. Online Registration for GYC 2012 will close on December 20th.

 

Minors

Minors between the ages of 15 to 17 must be accompanied by a supervising responsible adult (i.e. parent, guardian, pastor, teacher, etc.) of at least 21 years of age. Minors 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The responsible adult must register together with the minor, and by doing so assumes responsibility for the minor. A Minor Consent Form must be filled out for each minor and uploaded with their registration before payment can be completed. International Discount

Dress Code

Attire should reflect the professional nature of the conference. The dress code is business attire during meetings and workshops and formal during Sabbath. Attendees are asked to respect the principles of Christian modesty and simplicity.

 

How can I get involved? \\

If you are interested in volunteering to help with the many tasks involved in the conference, please indicate that when you register or email volunteers@gycweb.org.

 

Will my registration fee be discounted or waived if I sign up to be a volunteer? \\

There are no discounts given to GYC volunteers. GYC is a movement to train and develop self- sacrificing workers for the Lord. All Board of Director members and Executive Committee members pay to attend the conference. Even many of our presenters and speakers fund their own way to our conferences.

 

What are the policies regarding cancellations and refunds? \\

Conference registration fees and exhibit fees are non-refundable. In case of cancellation, the registrant should notify GYC, but no refund will be given. Conference registration fees may be transferable only to a non-minor or someone with the same type of registration that you had, i.e. regular attendees cannot switch with a non-chaperoning adult over 35. If you register, but are unable to attend, you may find someone else to go in your place. For all requests for conference registration modification or transferals please contact the registration team at registration@gycweb.org. Deadlines for all modification and changes to conference registrations is at the close of registration, December 20, 2012.

 

Will there be child care or children’s programs provided? Do young children need to register? \\

We are sorry that we cannot offer child care or children’s programs. Children age 6 and under may come with their registered parents free of charge. All children age 7 and older will be charged according to the registration table as outlined in the Fees section above.

 

Can I request my roommates? \\

Yes! Attendees are responsible for finding their own roommates. GYC and GYC’s housing service will not be assigning any roommates for attendees. When reserving your room, you will be asked to specify those occupying your room.

 

What if I am from another country and need a visa in order to attend GYC? \\

We realize that GYC attendees from some countries may need a personal letter of invitation before they can obtain a visa to attend the conference. If this applies to you, please apply for a letter of invitation.

 

Do I need to sign up for seminars? \\

No, seminars will be on a first-come basis. You do not need to sign up for seminars ahead of time.
