GYC Commenting Rules & Terms of Use

GYC is built upon Biblical principals with the single purpose of uplifting and upbuilding young Adventists. Its online presence exists only to promote the same among its participants.

While all comments do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of GYC or the Seventh-day Adventist Church, we expect all participants to uphold the following biblical standards when posting, regardless of circumstance:

Ephesians 4:29
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

1 Timothy 4:12
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

2 Timothy 2:22
So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

James 3:13-18
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom… The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

I agree to the following when posting comments or reflections:

  1. I commit to pursue excellence in everything; from the quality of the content and tone of my posts to the spelling and punctuation.
  2. I will not get sidetracked (or sidetrack others) by posting comments or entertaining other comments dedicated to games, jokes, spam, worldly moves or music, tv shows or video games. The goal is for every comment to bless, encourage or equip our brothers and sisters in Christ.
  3. I will not entertain any unproductive debates or discussions. I will approach all differences of opinion with the wisdom spoken of in James 3.
  4. I will honor and respect God, and every participant in this community.

Although we do allow the use of monikers, we do encourage you to use your real name.
