Evangelism Opportunities

Sunday December 29th at 12:10pm to 5pm

Registration

Registration for Evangelism Day projects is first come, first served and will open onsite at the conference.

If you are attending with a group, please plan to register together to ensure you are placed in the same project.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve spots in advance for any of the projects.

Please note that each project has a limited number of participants, so we encourage you to register early to secure your spot!

1. Literature Evangelism

Inspired by Colporteur Ministry 4.3, this project will send participants across Salt Lake City to share truth-filled books, tracts, and papers sowing the gospel “beside all waters.”

You’ll experience the joy of placing God’s Word directly into the hands and homes of those who may never hear it otherwise.

What to Bring:
Smartphone, water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and a willing heart.

Recommended:
portable charger, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, umbrella, or light jacket.

2. Packing Project

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

These powerful words come to life through our Packing Project!

Together, we’ll prepare and send thousands of care packages for women inmates at a local federal prison.

This project will primarily take place indoors, unless you are helping with loading. Tasks may include packing bags, breaking down boxes, and loading trucks.

Each package will serve as a tangible reminder of God’s love reaching those often forgotten by society, but never by Christ.

What to Bring:
Comfortable shoes, modest clothing (long pants or skirts recommended for safety), water, smartphone with portable charger, and a light jacket or sweater.

Note:
This project includes moderate physical activity and may involve standing for extended periods.

3. Compassion Project (NEW!)

If you love serving the community or want to experience it firsthand, this is the project for you!

This year we’re partnering with SALT (Service and Love Together) Ministry to reach the unsheltered in Orlando.

In Florida alone, nearly 30,000 individuals are without shelter and the need continues to grow. On outreach day, we’ll be working alongside SALT to provide food, organize sites, and most importantly, share Jesus’ compassion.

What to Bring:
Work clothes (long sleeves & pants recommended), sturdy closed-toe shoes, water, a jacket (weather dependent), and optional protective gear (masks, goggles, gloves).

Note:
This project involves physical activity and is not suitable for participants who are unable to walk long distances, lift boxes, or stand for extended periods.

4. Media Evangelism Workshop

In this creative, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to use media for mission by planning, filming, editing, and publishing a short video (TikTok/Reel/Short) based on the story of Moses.

Led by Pastor Adam Ramdin (Executive Producer of Lineage Journey), the session includes Storytelling Basics and Using Social Media for Mission, followed by a team production challenge.

Selected final films will be showcased during the workshop and featured on GYC’s official social media channels.

What to Bring:
Business casual, neutral clothing (suitable for filming), closed-toe shoes, Bible, smartphone with storage, charger/power bank, headphones, and (if available) a laptop or tablet.

5. Bible Study Workshop

This interactive workshop is a space to develop practical skills for leading Bible studies and sharing God’s Word. Participants will practice facilitating studies, learn from one another, and cultivate Christlike character for mission.

As Matthew 28:19–20 reminds us, we are called to go, teach, and discipline others in His truth.

What to Bring:
Bible, notebook, pen or tablet, an open mind, and a positive attitude.
