GYC Theme Song \ Revolution’s Flame

The world was black, it seemed as night, the Crucified was stilled.
For sin’s attack against the Light, had prophecy fulfilled.
Though all seemed lost the war was won, lo, revolution’s flame
By Pentecost had wonders done, the gospel to proclaim.
But only by God’s Spirit can, the work on earth proceed
Let us rely upon that plan, which will alone succeed.

Though death seems not to kindle birth, nor cross a movement spread,
Yet Jesus bought by blood this earth, in sacrifice has led.
His yielded will bore fruit in those, three thousand in a day,
Whose record still with fervor glows, enlightening our way.
But only by God’s Spirit can, the work on earth proceed
Let us rely upon that plan, which will alone succeed.

And so today our lives can burn, with revolution’s flame.
Surrender’s way will more return, than all we thought to claim.
For God will give His Spirit to, the ones who give their all,
To Him to live, to die, and do, in answering His call.
But only by God’s Spirit can, the work on earth proceed
Let us rely upon that plan, which will alone succeed.
